About Us

My Inspiration:

I find the simple words of Jesus some of the most inspiring ever...."Neither do I condemn thee." "Be healed." "Peace be still." And yet, whoever was the recipient of these blessed words was suddenly, and in a moment, face to face with a new perspective on life, and even more, a glimpse into the wellspring of God's deep and amazing love! I love my God who is willing to come to my level of simplicity, and love me for who I am, and yet who is not willing to leave me there.

I'm very passionate about music! I love to compose and write songs, and play piano. I'm so grateful for the many, many, ways that God uses to convey His love for you and I! I believe God puts His message in every-day life for me in a myriad of ways! I love the simple things of life the best!  Wouldn't you agree that a child's simple "I love you" far exceeds a dramatic flair of words by any professor?
I enjoy friendship, laughter with family, and a good round of golf with my Father and brothers, or other family and friends!  I enjoy grace, every moment of every day, because otherwise, I certainly would not be here, living and breathing! I enjoy a calm evening, when I can fly my powered parachute, and be fascinated by a sunset that's straight from the ever-artistic hand of my God! For all the things I enjoy, I realize that none of them would be possible without the blessing of God on my life! And suddenly, I also realize that even the opportunity to share the message of the Savior is a blessing not to be taken lightly. Do you enjoy the status of being called a "Child of God" today? An "Heir of Salvation," as the old hymn, "Blessed Assurance," puts it?  It's my prayer today that if you don't know the blessing of having your name written in the "Lamb's Book of Life," that maybe, just maybe, your visit here may start the wheel of your heart turning to the Savior's deep love! God bless you!

Where we're going:

At MusicForHymn ministries, we are looking to further the Kingdom of God through music, which essentially means a meshing of sharing the Gospel through the word AND deed! We want to partner with churches, as well as mission groups to form a common bond, and team up with as many people as possible to push the message of the Cross and Salvation through Jesus Christ! We want to give the spoken words through song, but we also desire to be able to share the Love of Christ through practical giving to reach anyone who needs to hear the Good News! By God's grace, we want to grow, and have more and more opportunities to reach out to His children in as many ways as He leads us.

Team Bio:

Swartzentruber Anthony Ray: (Singer, pianist, and songwriter)

My love of music started at a very young age. When I was three years old, I started playing our 22-key electric organ at home. I taught myself to play, and even thought the style was somewhat unorthodox, I was able to play virtually any basic songs. When I was twelve years old, my parents enrolled me in piano lessons. My teacher had a challenge before her as she tried to develop proper playing technique in me, while not doing away with the unique style of playing by ear. I took lessons for a number of years, and enjoyed it very much! Under my teacher's training, I played classical pieces, hymns etc. What a great opportunity it was to work at something I loved so much! Today I feel I have the opportunity to sit down and learn a challenging classical piece, or compose my own music, which is what I do mostly. The interesting thing is, today I play a developed version of what I started as a three-year old, with improved fingering and developed technique. Hence, I am still playing the style that God gave me as a child!
Solomon Tom Solomon: (Producer, Guitarist)

I began playing music at a very young age, banging out chords on an old upright piano my father and uncle brought home one day. Not many years later, my parents gave me a set of drums for Christmas, a gift I'm sure they often second guessed, living in such a small house with thin walls . It wasn't until I was fourteen years old that I began to show an interest in guitar. My father, who played guitar, taught me my first chords, and I was hooked. After gaining a little confidence on the guitar I wrote my first song. I have always loved the creative outlet that songwriting provides.

Since then, I've played in high school garage bands, church bands, Top 40 bands and oldies bands. I traveled, playing professionally, for a number of years, and lived in Nashville for a while, collaborating with other songwriters and recording demos. Today, my passion for writing and playing music is as strong as ever. Musically, I have two great loves. The first is playing and writing for Worship 288, the praise and worship band at my church. I also love producing music for others in my project studio, and with my friend, Nathan Lawson, in his studio. You can check out both sites at www.myspace.com/worship288 and

Lawson Nathan Lawson: (Engineer, Bass Guitarist)

I own and manage a full-service project studio. Using state-of-the-art equipment, I've worked with hundreds of local artists, several of whom have gone on to be very successful in the music scene with major recording labels. At studio 288, we believe in showcasing individuality, and being there with professional advice and guidance so that in the end, our clients feel they have successfully expressed their style, and given themselves a springboard to take it to the next level.
